I think this is the first time in history of HTP that such a large number of traffic violations have been recorded and fined. I suggest that the drivers of RTC buses be also given a refresher course by their bosses since the traffic conditions have changed. Further the RTC bosses should increase the running time between destinations since driving a bus with 60 odd passengers is a turmoil for the driver who has to maintain the running time. For eg. The present running time between Sec' Bad Railway Station to CRPF campus in Jawarnagar RR Dist is 60 minutes. This includes the 13 stages and 22 kms of travel in high traffic zones. If this is extended to 75 minutes the driver would in all probability be less stressful and obey the traffic signals. RTC should think abt this.
ReplyDeleteGood Work HTP
ReplyDeleteJumping signals, blocking the left lane, taking a right turn from the extreme left hand side of the road (noticeable at Khairatabad signal while going to Ladki Ka Pul from RTO office) it's just bullying because of the size of the vehicle.
ReplyDeleteAllowing U turn at the Khairatabad signal for traffic from Lakdi Ka Pul when the green light is on for traffic coming down the flyover towards Punjagutta & Raj Bhavan disrupts the flow. Although no right turn is permitted at the Punjagutta signal for traffic from Khairatabad motorists merrily do so impeding traffic coming from Ameerpet direction.
Must say the Mr Anand has put in a lot of efforts to improve traffic in our city, which I'm ashamed to admit is the worst in India among the big cities, not to speak of the blaring of electronic horns. If thing are tightened now the results will take a few years to show, as haphazard driving has been going on for generations.
Good to see the list of RTC bus offences....it would be better if you could publish the fines imposed.....
